Message in a bottle coming from the 2nd Childrens’ Convention of Berlin
– 10 important questions to the world
Please forward the message, thank you!
Ladies and Gentlemen,
You may wonder why we from the GRIPS Theatre would write you today via email from the 2nd Childrens’ Convention of Berlin.
The answer is simple: You are – directly or indirectly – somehow involved with the subject „Water as a Human Right“.
Also the one hundred Berlin based pupils from fifth grade that participated in the 2nd Childrens’ Convention of Berlin have been intensively engaged with the „Blue Gold“ during multiple workshops.
With the completion of our three days convention the children chose 10 questions, which they understand as the core of our subject, which weigh heavily on their minds and which we hereby send into the world – as a message in a bottle and as an email.
And this is where you come into play: We chose your adress, because you obviously have something to do with water. Therefore we hope that you take your time in reading this and concern yourself with the following questions.
We would love to receive an answer from you which we definitely will forward to the children.
For the message in a bottle and the childrens’ questions to be read by more people we would like you to forward this email to friends and colleagues.
1. Is the importance of water clear to you? Because if there was none you would be reading this email „naked“.
2. Why do some people have to walk so far in order to get to water?
3. Can nature be sold?
4. Why isn’t it possible everywhere in the world to drink water from the tab?
5. Why don’t rich people helb the poor ones?
6. Are the politicians aware how little water there is in Ghana?
7. Why is McDonald’s allowed?
8. Why are incense sticks lighted in a workshop about water?
9. Why do we toss water away if we can donate it instead?
10. How long will drinkable water still be coming out of the tab at ours’ in Germany?

With kind regards
GRIPS Theatre and the 100 children from the 2nd Childrens’ Convention of Berlin
